ok, the story goes that i picked up an 88 325i a few weeks ago. it has 135k miles on it, 5 speed, shitty paint, blah blah blah. it had a massive fuel leak at the fpr oring, and the fuel feed line, and needed new brake pads. those were what NEEDED to be done. i decided to do a bunch of maintenance work just for the hell of it. the car is 16 years old, so who knows when what was done.
here's what has been done or is in the process of being done:
all top end gaskets including the head gasket
upgraded to new style head bolts
timing belt/tensioner
water pump
all coolant/heater hoses
-6 sintered bonze fuel filter has replaced the stock
adjustable 1:1 rrfpr has replaced the stock
injector orings/fuel lines
cap/rotor/plugs/wires/coil
oil change
switching to an electric fan so no need ot replace fan clutch
metal master pads on all 4 corners with new wear sensors
valve clearance adjusted
vbelts
shifter bushings
tranny and diff fluid changed
air filter is almost brand new
vacuum lines
front wheel bearings
now i haven't started on suspension stuff yet, i will be replacing all bushings, and pretty much everything. so besides suspension, what are some things i may have overlooked? common issues to look out for on the e30/m20?
