What BMW is the most worthwhile the e21, e30, e12, or e28?

I am wondering what BMW is the most worthwhile. I am interested in the E21, E30, E12, and E28 generations of BMW's. I am looking for a car from one of these generations that requires the least maintenance, most reliability, best gas mileage, and is the most fun to drive. I love the styling and performance of these BMW's but I have a low budget so I don't want to be spending all my money on repairs. I know that most BMW engines last for a very long time, but the body is what needs the most repairs. Does anyone know a specific model that fits these specifications?

E30's and E28's may tend to have less corrosion.

E30 is the best.plenty of spares about and the better of all three models for corrosion.
