| Alright, I drive and work on primarily 2nd Gen Rx7 Turbos...so when it comes to my girlfriend's automatic 6cyl, I am a little lost...
Problem 1: On WOT, no matter what, it will shift from 1st to 2nd gear at about 3100rpm. The rest of the gears will hold to almost 5k. Is there a way to adjust this, because the car shifts before the powerband even hits. I can shift it with the lever 1-4 but thats annoying...
Problem 2: The car is just plain slow. Now I know it is an old car, and it is automatic, but its pretty scary. You have to wait for huge gaps in traffic because its so slow you can get hit if there is a car coming 1/2 a mile away. The car will get past 80mph, but it just takes a long time. Now if the A/C is on...you can walk faster.
Anyways, the two are pretty related...and i have some ideas...
for one, she needs and oil change and tuneup...ill take care of that this week...2...i think the rings are bad as it smokes blue under load at higher rpm...but the tranny im pretty stuck on
