New guy here! My '89 325i has developed a vibration in the passenger compartment (most noticeable in the rearview mirror) along with a pretty bad tire howl at 60+ mph. Am thinking rear wheel bearings but looking for any other possible causes...?? Thanks
i had a similar problem with my E36. It was the back left wheel bearing. I didn't have so much the vibration, but bad tire noise, and noticeable instability at highway speeds.
same as above. check sub frame mounts and bushings. look for bent arms in back suspension/chassis, aligment is important. but most likely wheel bearing if u hear a howling of rotation while at excess of 55MPH.
if you take it to a local garage and have them put it on a lift for you to check it they shouldn't charge you anything I know we don't charge people for checking things like that for them
