US bumpers really suck... I don't know what regulations they follow but this is ugly ;(

Drag racing an m3 is like going fishing with a hooker, it's fun but it's not what you got her for.
There's no replacement for displacement.
I need to know!

See, for a while there was a bumper law about some 5mph impact bullshit or something which resulted in the ugly-ass "Diving boards" that got put on the early model e30's. They're huge chunks of aluminum that stick off each end of your bimmer like a sore thumb. I personally think they kind of look neat, retro-style. But alot of people think they aren't so hot. Ugly. Bad stuff. :-/
no man i doubt that, did u change ur rims or something like that? ride height? cuz that might affect it bro.

No it's been 5 mph off ever since I've had the car. Someone said that BMW made it 5 mph to meet US standards or something in another thread, so I was just wondering if the speedometer being 5 mph has any connection to the 5 mph bumper thing.
man i really dont know...there might be come calibration u can do for the speedo...ooo! it might be the electronic speedometer transmitter
