Upgrades?

Alright, I have a few questions. Hit me back to any of these please.
No. 1 - I'm lookin at gettin some smileys for my car and they talk about using H1's. If I get them can i plug my regular bulbs right in (such as 9005's and 9006's)?
No. 2 - I'm kinda watchin Ebay for a Dinan Chip. Can anyone tell me how well these ( or other chips) work? I'm really curious bout fuel efficiency.
No. 3 - I've really been considering the rear fog lights, because I know the Euro Specs had them and everything is already there (it's just really hard to find that specific bulb).
Oh, another question that really isn't a sort of an upgrade. I bought my '88 325is back in the fall and the tac hasn't worked in it since I got it, can anyone relate to this? If so please tell me how you fixed it (I haven't really tried anything yet).
If you have any other relatively cheap upgrade ideas, feel free to lend them to me. Many Thanks.

No you can not use a 9005 or 9006 you need H1's

As for the rear fog lights well they wiring harness is not there for them so you need the switch and the wire all the way back to the backing plate of the taillights. And you need a euro backing plate. So you don't have the issue of put the wires in there.

I was about to say that the Conforti chip would be a better deal, but I'm not real sure about a B25 motor. I can tell you it's almost undoubtedly less expensive than Dinan, and I'll be surprised if you don't get better gas mileage with it. Dinan would toast it power-wise.
