Apok is an unknown quantity at this point
I'm new to BMW's, but I drove past one for sale, I believe it was a mid 1980's 3 series, but it had a logo on the back, which I believe was IM. Can anyone help me find info on this car or help determine what it is? Thanks

the ///M = IIIM is probably right, unless its eg. 318i///M therefore IM but yeah...

isnt it possilbe to have a M spec e30?? or does the e30 only have IS??

No, the "is" is as close as you can get to an "M" without it being a M3. The only thing on the "is" that is on the M3 is the steering wheel.

Yes, unless it is a factory "M" car, it should not have one on the grill or trunk lid. now the newer style bimmers with the sports package, like the e39, have them on the steering wheel and on the rims, they come with the sport package

And there was an E28 from 85-87, either right before the M5 or briefly overlapping, that had the badge. It was the M535i.
