I have a 1989 325iX and I have tossed around the idea of putting in a decent sized turbo or a Vortex Supercharger. I have found a blower from an older Thunderbird that I think I could hackly put in and I also have an old turbo out of a 1988 Nissan 300ZX. Not that i plan on putting either of them in but I'd like to know if there is anyone who has previously done a turbo or super upgrade and wht you had to do to get it to work and what gains did you have... Thank you in advance.

no... it originally said "2988 300zx" but is hould have been 1988 300zx... I was making a joke by saying that it was fromthe future... as in the year 2988. :P

it might be harder to use a turbo from a diff car then buyin a new one.

I would never turbo a car without upgrading the main bearings since they were not designed for the added loads

I'm totally leaning towards the Super... It takes a whole lot less work too... I'd say it would be sweet!! We have this dream about pulling up next to a Viper or something and just cleaning his ass!!

Putting a turbo or supercharger in a 1988 325ix seems a little crazy if u ask me, its ur car... I think its a waste of money IMO if u decide to do it

I have seen them on E30 M3's but other than that i haven't seen one either.
