Both the M50 and S50 swaps have been made to a E30 in Iceland....

This one had a S50 conversion.

Same car, dad's dakota in the back

The engine, that is in YA120, in Gunni's old E30 (had to re-transplant it, since it got crashed by some stupid 17yr old that couldn't handle a Nissan Terrano II TDi in the snow)

Here is a picture of the damage, done by the Terrano...

But yeah (us damn sweden's) we have done them transplants here in Iceland.

Page with pictures of S50 transplant

We do also have Toyota Hiluxes and LandCruisers with 454 & 350's from Corvettes ( no kidding )

Pictures taken from GStuning / Gunni's website, no permission taken (sorry Gunni if you ever catch me here) but this is only done to prove my point and state Iceland's right of existance

Its been done to quite a few e30's. I'm hoping at purchasing this in a few months.

I'm going to make it street legal. It just needs the lights added to it and a tag.

There are lots of places to look for a primer. I'm putting together a PP presentation that will highlight the S50 transplant. It's pretty much plug and play, but obviously, since it's a transplant, there are many small things that could (and probably will) go wrong. I hope to do it in the next year or so.
I just sent my "book of knowledge" (where I'm collecting all of this information) back home, but next week I should be able to post up some of those websites.

My best advice (and I'm sure others would agree)... do your research and plan this out.

common swap. very good for the power to weight ratio. you should also check out randy's blue e30 325 with 3.2l obd-1 s/c on www.maxbimmer.com but someone stole it.
