Turbo??

Is there a turbo for a 1987 BMW 325e. I'd like to know if I can get a turbo for a car like this. I'd appreciate it if you could inform me ...Thanks ghead

Yeah for sure this engine is incredible for mechanical modifications , but before you install turbo you have to get low the engine compresion (presure) to avoid blow the engine

and you have to get turbo spec cams in order to take full advantage of the turbo or even be able to use it depending on the cams you have in there.

wouldnt a supercharger be better for a high compression engine

Neither are really smart for an out-of-the-box B27, but what you can do, and what sounds like a lot of fun, is do a head conversion with an M20B25 (stroked 2.5, basically), and then your compression would drop to a hair below 8.0:1. That's a pretty nice number for forced induction, and it's what a lot of the better-off E30 owners are doing these days.

Man I want a head swap.

superchargers give power starting from take off turbos usally are more high end anyway a website that sells turbos is this one
