Tucked bumper !!!

What do you think about tucked bumper on e30 pre 1988 ? It's seem interesting insteed of changing bumpers by euro bumpers (difficult to find it) or plastic bumpers (need modification at rear).

i'd go for it if i had a pre 88. i've seen pictures of a few tucked and painted to match and it looked hot.

i hope this guy doesn't mind me posting a picture of his car (sorry if you do) but it's a great looking car, tucked and painted.

What do you think about the protection for the car (if there is collision) with tucked bumper ?

can't remember where i found these pictures. r3vlimited.com or e30tech.com most likely.

i like the black one in the link above. the one that's compared to the plastic bumper. i actually prefer the look of the tucked and painted over the plastics.

i say go for it!! tuck and paint away!! search those 2 forums listed above. there's alot of threads on this topic.

Me too I prefer the look of the tucked and painted over the plastics. But I'm not sure because no shock is not really good for the car... if you have impact (accident), the body (frame) is going to take directly all the impact.

You khnow what I mean ???

bumpers only help if the wreak is at like under 5 mph or something dumb like that... i say go for it...

i agree. anyways anything but the diving boards is the way to go imo. and if you get into an accident use it as a parts car.

how can you say no to how hot a tucked and painted e30 looks.

if you have an 88 the late bumpers are a direct swap with no modification...

unless its a really early 88....

do you have the large tail lights and the rear valance? or do you have the small tail lights and no rear valance?

its a custom one made similar to the Racing Dynamics one and also kind of looks like the E30 M3 rear....lemme try and dig up some pics and i will PM you
