Trunk Leaking Water - 325iC - BMW Forum

My 1990 E30 convertible has a nasty trunk leak. Inches of water pool in the driver's side well area of the trunk (below the antenna) anytime it rains and to a lesser extent when I was the car. I'm looking for a possible fix if anyone has ideas. The water is leaking down from the top storage compartment, perhaps there is a clogged drain I am not aware of?

Two main causes, 1. Cracked taillights or bad tail light body seals. 2. Sunroof drain clogged or disconnected.

I have seen where the trunk spring bracket will break it's weld in the trunk seal channel leaving a hole, just lift up the seal and check. If there is a hole, it's best to have it welded by a good welder. Delicate area.

Here is a photo of the area where water is leaking in. If I take a hose and spray into either of the two round holes visible in the picture, water streams down into the trunk from behind the antenna (where the sheetmetal is indented to house the wheel [sorry I don't know the technical term]).

Are there any drains in this area of the convertible top storage compartment that I need to check?
