1989 bmw 325 i v6 automatic transmission...

when I turn on the ignition and starting to drive ,for example in the morning or almost 4 hours later after the last driving, my car is making an incredible noise.. because the gear is not shifting.I feel that the gear is trying to shift. but no shifting .I am driving my car with this noise almost 1.5 miles. then when the engine warms up ,my car is shifting the gear and the noise disappears.. I discovered that when I warm up her almost 15 or 20 minutes before my first driving in the day ,my car has no any problem with shifting..and no noise either..

what the problem may be?
if the problem is my transmission ,why my car shifts gear easily when the engine is warm?

Yes first check your transimission fluid and maybe have your transimssion fluid flushed. Check to see if any tranny fluid is leaking.
