i have a 90 325ic with a manual tranny is there a way for me to check the fluid level in it, it might be leaking and im not sure how to check it

On drivers side of the transmission is a bolt with a large hex opening (can't remember size right now). Undo this bolt and the fluid should be right at the top of the opening (put fineger in and feel), if not at the top. fill to just about running out.

You need a 17mm allen to take out the fill plug. Make sure you either use ATF with Dextron III or Redline AFT or Redline MTF.
