Top speed of a 325 1988 2.7liters

Does anybody know what the top speed of a stock 1988 325 2.7 liters is???

I've hit about 110-115 before I caught traffic and had to slow down. Haven't tried to go faster since then. If I remember right the top speed is supposed to be around 122mph or so.

I'm hitting about 3000rpm at 90, but I have the 4.10 LSD.
So my top speed probably isn't even 122.

Tanks guys, that is almost what I expected. I think it can get 130 if we had the right amount of space.

i've hit 210kph in mine, then i slowed down because one of my control arm bushings was rattling around, but mine is not stock either, that is prob around 120mph

at 130 on the nose mine shuts off untill it gets down to about 120. 89 325i

I have hit close to 130 on my tach and the car would still scream like crazy but it wouldn't pull for crap.

jim c's chip sure as heck helps if you have one. I didn't.

The 325e 2.7 is an economy engine that revs lower than the 2.5 Best speed I ever saw on my 325i was about 138 @6100RPM speedo reading 143. The 2.7 should manage about 128 130+ I would imagine

hah nice...ya thats kind of important you need to fix it...cops dont like the excuse (i dont know my speedo doesnt worrk) they usually slap you witha huge fine haha
