Furious '84 is on a distinguished road
(Thread Starter)

I have a '84 318i. I just recently got it idling halfway decent and started driving it. Found a few suspension problems in it. A loud humming, shuddering/shaking while going 50+, a squeak while driving(especially over bumps), and shake/shudder while braking(especially 50-20mph braking).
I want to get new tires and found some i like but i don't know where to get them put on the rims. I'm worried because of the specifed jack points on car. I don't want to go somewhere and have them crush the jack points or worse jack it in a bad positon a break something. Anybody know of any places that are BMW friendly besides the dealership(I'm on a budget)

Any decent tire shop worth its salt should know how to handle your car safely.

Good answer Brett...
Tyre shops will use a trolley jack on the front main chassis anyway, but if you're worried about your jacking points, then you shouldn't be, unless the chassis is in a bad way !!

Eso es todo!
