I'm going to buy winter wheels and new hub caps, should i bring it to a dealer/shop or is it a good DYI project? i have until the 17th of january off from school, so i want something to do other than putting in the new shocks.

Have you ever watched how mounting and balancing is done? Mounting yourself ... maybe you could do it, but I guarantee you would work your ass off to save a couple dollars. You can't balance the wheels without the spin balancer machine. It's just impossible.
