Timing Belt

how hard is it to change the timing belt on a 86' 325e? And how do you do it precisely, i know how to do it in general. Sorry about asking such a noob question.

Really not difficult, but a bit of a pain. Make sure you're at TCD before you take the old one off. Things like the fan nut can take a long time, that thing can be really easy or just a total PITA. Otherwise its pretty straightforward - buy a Bentleys or find a post with all the steps - need to check things like serial # on the tesioner - one version is obsolete its all in the book.
