BMWJNKY 5th Gear Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Elk Grove, CA Car: '89 E30 w/M50 Posts: 1,175 Photos:	If you advance the timing your car will probalby not want to start, and if it does it will not run well. The timing is set with the car at 2400 rpm, vaccum advance unpluged and looking through the timing hole at the back of the block. If you want to change your cam timing that is different, you will need to buy an aftermarket cam gear that allows you to advance it. __________________ My M50 Powered E30 Page
