ghead does anyone know where to get the valve tools to readjust my valves? I actually called a dealership(strange for someone who does his own work) and they said that they hadn't seen an e30 in for "work that big" in years. Real reassuring! Anyway, i heard there was a tool for this work...Please help!!!

what kinda of car do you have, if its got the M42 then you dont have adjustable valves, you'v got cam followers or lifters. they are cilinders ontop of the spring and the cams push them down. or for any dohc motor. and if you dont then you need the feeler gauages which can be purchased just about any automotive store. and a socket that fits on the nut. you also need to know the timing sequence and the rest im not going to bother because the manuel probably tells you the rest. and if it doesn't and you dont know then you probably shouldn't be doing it by yourself....
