Three Beeps

I have a 1987 325(e) with 127,770 miles. Aside from a deteriorating fuel pump and the front air dam falling off, it's in wonderful condition. I've owned it for four months now, and when I first got it, it would occasionally beep three times, like something was either broken or low on some fluid. It stopped for the summer, and then recently started doing it again. I can find no rhyme or reason as to when it happens, it only does it once in a given drive, and never at the same time intervals, speeds, conditions, rpm..nothing. And although it doesn't happen every time I drive, it's beeping at least every other time.

Today, on the interstate, the washer fluid light came on.
Other than that, this is the only 'warning' I have, and I'm not even sure if it's a warning.

Anyone know what it is?

The 3 beeps is the memo function. You probaly have the memo button on... if u do it will say ME in the corner where ur time is displayed. It will beep three times like a minute before u set the memo, it might be a minute i am not sure. To set it to not go off, just press the memo button and the ME will disappear on the display. Nothin to worry about tho, i had the same question awhile back.

You have the memo turned on. It will beep 3 times 3min before the hour changes.

Are you referring to some function of the OBC?
My OBC hasn't worked for at least a year.

Its display just goes berserk 24/7.

Try pressing on the front. If it starts to act normal there is a connection on the inside that needs to be repaired. And yes we are refering to a function of the OBC.
