I'm a VW person, looking into buying an older 1984 325e. The lot is selling it cheap because they said it has an electrical problem with the tranny. A "vacuum module" they said. It drives, but sometimes has problems shifting into second. I called a local BMW sales/service lot and they had no idea what I was talking about. Have you ever heard of anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bmws are pretty well known for electrical problems i say DONT buy it, you dont know what that is going to lead to, and if it sometimes wont shift into 2nd that might not be a great thing! and if the dealership doesnt know thats even worse!
