Think my thermostat is stuck...

took the car around the block, after it warms up it stays cool while it is moving, parked it and let it idle then the temp started to rise up. The hose running from the water pump gets really hot. The upper radiator hose gets semi-warm, but the lower one stays cold and is cold even a few inches away from the thermostat bracket. Do you think its the thermostat not opening?

Either that or your rad is full of gunk.

I replaced the thermostat. The hose gets warm but not like the rest of them. I will see what I can do about cleaning the radiator. Does anyone have a picture or can explain where the hoses are supposed to go into the thermostat housing? Just want to make sure they are going into the right places.
