its usually for track purposes. it protectives from chips in those spots..and if it were to break..it dosent get all over

yea thats how people get into your car w/o making a big mess.. they tape up your window and smash it... but the tapes on the headlights could do what e36 said or maybe they are Difters? lol Its a fashion of drift cars too.
