Tail light assembly

Can anyone tell me if a 1985 318i tailight assembly will fit my 1984 318i ??

I would say yes, but to confirm if you can supply>>>> part no. of the one you have, and build date. which is found on a sticker on one of the front suspension tops under the hood.

Marti 5, Didnt see build date on the strut tops but the mfg date on a sticker on doorjamb driverside said 05-83 does that sound about right and was mfg in Germany. part # on the tailight lens said 1 368 824 Hope that helps. Thanks for all your trouble my friend.

Hi, The answer is yes, Dont quite know where on the unit you got that number but all BMW part numbers are 11 numbers long, anyway 1983-1985 cross-match.

hi Marti, I got the number off the outside of the lens it was stamped right in the middle if you look at it at an angle you can see it. I bought a nice used one on ebay for $31.00. Thanks for your time and help. Richie
