Hi all!
Neither of my front seats are pretty, but the drivers side is distinctly worse than the passenger seat. Are the rails/mounts the same? Can I just pop the seats out and switch them? Would I need to remove the seats from the rails? Is this possible? I dont' want to spend money, but I want the best seat possible... is this worthwhile?
THANKS!
Josh W

eh, it would be silly cause your controls would be on the other side........and that being said i think that reason alone will make it not work because of the back adjustment would be in the way quite possibly.

Its a huge pain in the ass to swap the seats side to side. You pretty much have to take the seat all the way apart and swap the padding and covers side to side cause the frames are left and right specific. Just search for some good used ones or save up for a racing type seat.
Yeah, Corbeau or Momo or whatever would be the ULTIMATE dream... I would be happy with a set of Procar seats (had those in my aircooled beatle) and the ROCKED! I dont' think $1000+ for a good quality racing seat is in my budget... which is currently ummmm ZERO! lol
Thanks!

seat covers...autozone or advanced auto, $40. i got some faux leather ones and there not to bad. they'll do until i can get $500 for a set of used leather ones.
u can sawp the seat with no problem i ran with my passenger side as me driver seat for nearly two years never gave me a problem...one maybevbecause i never had to scoot my seat all the way forward, if u have to this it can be a hassle..., the swap is easy...but yeah they're right the controls will be on the other side pushing agains the center console...i never even took apart the seat...the mounting holes fit perfectly. although, now i swapped the seat back the passenger side and use a bucket Corbeau Forza II as my daily seat...for a temporary fix swap it, for long time fix buy a racing seat...i lucked out and bought my Forza II for 150 dollars...
my post was actually the last one, i just joined right now and am a newbie to this site but been around the scene for nearly 7 years...i can't find any pics as of right now of my passender switched with driver seat, possibly because i never thought i needed to take pics but here is a shot with my new Corbeau Forza II's in....
