Looking online for a new catback exhaust - since mine is shot, and I came across this one. A performance muffler. Now of course I'm thinking, sounds kind of ricey. My idea of a performance muffler would just be slightly larger than stock (and in the case of non-turbo) while not exceding about 2.25" diameter or whatever. Now I'm curious, for 426 dollars, how much damn performance can one muffler add? Anyone have any expierence with them? I've never heard of them before but if you guys wanna vouch for them... well go for it. :P

i came very close to buying a supersprint but it was the price that turned me away. the sound is very good but only slightly louder and deeper than stock, and it looks very good on the car when installed. however you wont notice any performance gains since the stock exhaust is a very good system to begin with

I see. I would probally see some sort of performance gain personally, seing as how my 318's exhaust system is shot. LoL. You can easily hear exhaust leaking all up behind the rear wheels. So I'm sure thats letting some of my power go. But I wasn't sure how good of an exhaust system I already had, so I was considering upgrading if it was posiable. What about a high flow catalytic for the e30 series? also, will any head designed to fit the 1.8l engine fit my car? I have the 1.8l so I mean I would imagine so... but I'm not sure, is there any horozontaly mounted engines in the bmw family? Like in a 4wd version? Anyhow thanks for replying at least.
