help the underside of my sunroof is rusting away on my 88 e30...is this uncommon...is it possible to buy a replacement....thanks

They tend to do that. Getting a replacement most likely will have some rust, so some metal work would have to be done.

character flaw? just make sure to keep a good sunroof gasket on there and you wont have any problems to begin with

the rust is on and around where the brackets are attached to the underside of the panel.....nothing to do with a deficient gasket ....thanks for the reply
