Suitable filter placement??
hey guys, just wondering if this was a suitable filter placement, or if yall think itll be sucking in hotter air and actually killing my HP. i know the stock air box pulls from right behind the left HL, but the cone wont fit down there.
its right next to the rad, thats the only thing that really concerns me.
any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, ie. how to make a cheap heatshield, better places, where to get cheap tubing. Thanks guys.

k, so i went to home depot and got a 18x12 piece of 22g (hopefully this isnt too thin?) sheet steel..its fairly flexible with some pressure, and i think itll be fairly easy to drill through for mounting screws. new to this whole metalworking stuff, but in my past ventures theyve been successful. Thanks for the links and the welcome salt i have eric to thank for getting me into bimmers.
no prob... sounds like u got the idea on what your doing... just make a template with cardboard first so u dont waste money... and yeah should be good to go...
