Stress Bars On A E30?

i was wondering if i put a stress bar on my 89 325i will it help handling. and if so how much? will i notice it? has anyone tried it?

and how do they work?

It will help your car but you probably wont be able to notice it. The only way you will be able to notice a difference is if you go the whole nine yards. By that I mean, upgraded sway bars, new bushings..etc the list goes on forever.

It works by elimanating chassis flex by tieing the two shock towers together. This makes the chassis more stiff and rigid, allowing for better handling..etc.

I put an Ireland Engineering stress bar on my E30 Wednesday along with some poly engine mounts and it made a noticable difference. I have had a Bilstein BTS kit on my car for a while and now with the front brace it handles better, the car feels more solid, and drives smoother down the freeway. If you drive your car hard I recomend getting a non pivoting bar like the Ireland Engineering bar. I'll post some pics in a little while after I wash my car.
