Strange Idle/Spark plugs/BMW speaker
Ok this is three threads into one.
1. Idle is strange sometimes. When in gear and i move to neutral, instead of just falling to 600/700 rpms normally, it falls to 1100ish then falls slower down to 600-700 rpms. and sometimes at startup and for a few minutes after, idle will be even lower (400is) then jump up to 700 and back down to 400 a few times, then settle on 600-700. ICV? Im hoping to get a good condition ICV and IC module for pretty cheap (cheaper than the seemingly low price of them already) if not ICV, suggestions?
2. Time to change plugs.. but ive noticed there is controversy over getting 4 pronged and what nots. What would you all recommend as the best plug for my 325i?
3. Im no electrician... I had an aftermarket HU but the CD player broke, so recently ive been using a new one. 2 wires for each speaker..but then it seems as if the two rear speakers only use one?? there seems to be some sort of harness that only puts out a single wire for each rear speaker? Im i high? completely dont know what im doing (very probable)? or is this how they were made? Anyone know anything about this?
Are you wiring the speakers up separately or something, or are you still using the factory amp? I am confused by what you are doing. I just used the factory speaker wires, when I put new speakers in my car.
As far as plugs I use bosch platinum 2's or +2's whatever the OEM plugs are, and they work great for me.

I've been using platinum plugs since last summer and they seem great, no need for 4 prongs though, that's excessive.
I just ran all new wiring when I put my HU and speakers in my car, heavier gauge and new connectors FTW.

I have the 4 speakers (the two in the back are alpines, the two up front are stock) im assuming there should be a total of 8 speaker wires coming out of the HU area..at least that would make sense...to me anyway.. 8 speaker wires from the HU to 8 speaker wires from the car. I got 4 from the HU hooked up to 4 from the car (2 speakers) but then I look around and cannot find 2 other pairs to hook up. then i notice some strange harness type thing that has 6 or so wires going into it and 3 or something wires coming out of it.. i discover that two of those are for the rear two speakers. this seems to work fine with just one wire for each speaker...but once it gets past a certain sound level on the HU it cuts out.. apparently this shit is called "out of phase" jesus christ this shit doesnt make sense to me.... soooo if that doesnt make any sense.. ill make my myspace-obsessed sister buy me new batteries for the camera and take some pics.
Do you have kick panel speakers? My friend has an e30 and he was told that they dont make a wiring harness for it? That would be so much easier, just plug n play. I kept thinking you had an e36 then I could help.

Well as far as plugs go, if you really want your plugs to last for 100,000 miles then use platinum. But, if you want better performance from your plugs I would recommend copper core plugs, ie: ngk coppers or something.

yeah a speaker in each kick panel (one for each side) but all the speaker wires come out of the HU slot. everything is fine with other speakers until multiple wires go into this plug, the plug is connected to another plug, and out come fewer wires, 2 of which seem to be giving sound to the two rear speakers. (i checked this, first id hook up a single speaker wire from the HU to the wire coming from the HU slot (just one to one) and id hear it coming from one of the rears. same for the other wire. Ill get pics soon, then hopefully yall wont think im crazy!
