Steering Wheel Re-Installed - Horn Goes Off Continuously
I had to pull my airbagged wheel off to do a dashboard replacement. Upon reinstallation the horn started going off when I turned the wheel and now it goes off as soon as I turn the ignition on. Any ideas?
My guess is that you got an exciter wire grounded when you put the wheel back on.
What year/model do you have? There should be a wire or contact the is behing your airbag for the horn. Chances are you got it too close on re-installation.

Two wheels or Four, I'm happy as long as the throttle is pinned.
I'll check on that wire. There was one small plug that attaches to the back of the airbag. There was also a wire in the wheel that was not reattached - my airbag is not 'hot' so I did not see the need to reconnect this wire. Probably my culprit?
