Steering Wheel Nut Size?

325eXTATIC is a glorious beacon of light

Hey all, I was doing some work the other day and wanted to take off the Steering Wheel, only to come across a nut SLIGHTLY larger than my biggest socket... I had a 21mm but that didn't fit, and the Haynes manual is great enough to tell you "Remove the Steering Wheel Nut" as the only description! No mention of actual size!
What size is it?
Just trying to save 15 dollars buying the right on the first time!
