Okay, so i have a 1985 eta that i bought a month and some change ago. Very happy with it but it has problems. one is the speedometer. I noticed that today when i was driving in the rain the S/M started working when i nailed the happy petal. It worked all day, until the rain let up.
nothing else has gone wrong that i know of. But the # 11 or 12 fuse was blown the other day when i was checking things out. the radio was hardwired to the battery if that helps narrow things down.
in the rain, in first gear, if i nailed the throtle enough to break the rear end loose the gauge would work. by the end of the day though it was done for.
a commun problem with thw e30 serie it , the blue and the white connector a the back of the cluster come lousse with the time and they make intermittent working gauge , the solution if you are miticulous it too add a drop of solder on each pin or the easy way it,s just squeze a piece of carton in the connector to make the contact ood and that it good luck ,don,t woory about the yellow one it, for the obc
