One of my friend have buy a 325I 1988 with some think special. Its a I engine, but the air intake are really smaller. Does some body have more information about this engine?

All tthink like to be indentical exept the air intake.... stronge... i suppose that bmw have make a special engine between E and I . long RPM (65500 like I) with little air-intake, so little power.
Note: This cars is sold in canada...

Are you referring to the Super Eta? That's not badged any different than the original M20B27 it's based on, it just has B25 valve springs and a few other minor enhancements.
No i dont think its a super-eta. They have the same ICV that I engine... Anywais, the E engine have bigger air-intake that this car... its very stongs..

springs, ecu, and pistons and i think camshaft are different in 325

Thats how the "I" engine intakes are. They have larger diamater, short runners for more high end power. There are a lot of differences between an "E" and "I" engine. They look somewhat similar but internal parts are very different.
