Speaker Sizes

What are the stock speaker sizes for the front and back of a 1986 bmw 325E? I need to know so I can put a nice system in that car. Apreciate any info I get.

i have no idea but i haev 6x9's int he back and 6.5 inch in the front i believe the stock fronts are 5.5 inch? but the 6.5s fit right in snug, and the back the 6x9s involve a bit of modification but well worth it. i can post up some picks if you need me too.

Rear deck are 6.5"

if you got the upgraded speaker system they were 5.25 front with tweeters in the door and 6.5 rear, otherwise it was 5.25 all around.

they all came stock with 5.25 all the way around. the super stereo had 5.25 also in the rear

i KNOW that there was an uprated factory speaker system in the e30 that had larger speakers in the rear.. i almost bought a 1990 325i 2dr that had the premium speaker system and it had factory bmw speakers in the rear which were square and appeared to be 5x7" (not 6.5 like i said previously). the system was entirely factory, it was a one owner vehicle and was COMPLETELY factory stock.

it was actually a square speaker and a little tweeter integrated into one unit.

unless european models came with different stereos then you are incorrect. yes the super stereos came with square rear speaker boxes which could maybe look like one 5x7, but they are actually a 5.25 with a tweeter on the side of it

yea there 5 1/4 all around stock but i got 6 1/2 alpine type r's in mine

i put 6.5s in the front they just dropped in the hole is big enough and in the back a bit of grinding in the bottom will make it fit. i can take pictures if need.
