Spark plug wires

Hey guys. Just wanted to know what kind of performance wires any of you guys are using. I have an 87 325i, and I wanted to go with some performance wires but i cant seem to find any specific for the car. Is that because there is that extra wire connected to one of the wires itself. Yeah I know it sounds kinda novice like. Don't worry i just bought the bible today, so hopefully within the next week or too i will be able to improve my tech vocabulary.

Anyway are there any aftermarket performance wires specific for this engine? If so where can i get them and at what cost.

I've had two different kinds..... DO NOT get the ones from bav auto....I've talked to multiple people besides myself that have had major problems with them...

and I think they're cheaper then stock wires......in any case, I've never had a problem with these wires....

The only difference between a "performance" wire set and the stock ones is how thick the insulation is. Unless you are running a turbo there is no need to spend the extra money on aftermarket performance wires. Just get a set of OE Bremi brand wires and a new Bremi cap and rotor and call it good. If you are changing your plug wires it would be a good idea to replace your spark plugs, a Bosch W8 LCR is the stock plug for the M20B25 and should be ran at .032in gap.
