spark plug sequence - BMW Forum

HELP.....I know I asked this question this morning, but I can't drive my car unless I get the sequence correct.

I made the mistake of pulling too many wires when replacing the Spark Plug Wires, and now don't know the sequence of how they go into the distributor.

Could someone with a similar 325i check under the hood and report back, it would be greatly appreciated.....

Your cap should be numbered, clean it off well and take a second look. My cap was numbered. The firing order for the 6 cylinder is 1-5-3-6-2-4, 99% of the straight six cylinders on the road have the firing order.

A BIG thank you to Aj's320i for the sequence.

When I went out to the car, I had it in what I thought was the proper order, but (I know you'll all laugh) I had the coil in the number 2 position......what happened to the old fashioned distributors like on my MG's where it's round, and the coil is in the middle???

Thanks again.....I know where to go when working on future BMW tasks....
