Yo homies. Word to your moms.

ok. so my ol e30 SOMETIMES takes a while to start. it cranks for a while and eventually turns over. other times it starts immediately. it doesnt really seem to have anything to do with the weather / how cold or hot it is. My question is...

what is teh problemo?

Fuel or fire, is the fuel pump pushing fuel upstream fast enough. Does the battery turn the engine over rapidly?

i think we had the fuel pump replaced about 8 months ago.

i just wanted to maybe have alittle advice before i went and spent the money for a new starter and have that not be the problem, namean?

starter isn't the problem, if its turning the engine its doing fine, when was the last valve adjustment?

A weak, or wrong size battery will do that. Also could be a faulty main or fuel pump relay. Also a bad fuel filter can do that as well. Lastly, check for intake leaks.
