I am planning to do the SI Board batteries for my '86 eta, just want to double check... Are there 2, 1.2 volt rechargeable"AA" NiCads? Or could I use 2 rechargeable NiMH batteries instead? I just want to be sure I get it right the first time! And would anyone recommend doing a "remote installation" of the batteries for easier access down the road?
Thanks all!
Josh W.

Great question! I was kinda wondering the same thing, as I have a write up to do it, but haven't ever found out what kind of batteries I need to get.
If someone could tell me what I need to ask/look for at WalMart/Radio Shack, that would be great!
I would probably mount them in the same place, but that's only because I wouldn't want them hanging out in the open where they can fall out and stuff.

LOL, I dont' even know what that is DJ! Check with GuyWithBlack88e30. He JUMPED on that in a private message. I told him he won his choice of either a used but functional Bosch coil, or a used but NOT functional window switch!
Actually, it comes from Don Hertzfeldt's cartoon "Rejected"
Trust me, once you see it, you will FOREVER be changed!
PM me and I can email the file to you, I have a low res version but it is good enough to "get it". http://www.bitterfilms.com/

Any ideas? Can you interchangeably use a pair of Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable, or is it exclusvely Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) batteries?
They ARE standard AA sized aren't they? If so, they are 1.2 volts yes? And are they wired in Series or Parallel? Sorry for so many questions, but I really want to get this one right the first time!
As usual... THANKS!!!
