Short throw shifte ron 88 325ix, anyone did this

I was wandering doe anyone did install SSK on 88-91 ix
I swaped mine stock one on 89 325i with Z4 3.0 SSK from BMAparts,but i read somewhere that ix use different shifter
So who have short shifter on 88-91 325ix ???

the transfer box on your iX is directly below the shifter. in order to do a SSK you must raise the cup that the ball on the shifter sits in. UUC Motorwerks short shift kits for the E36 come with a machined aluminium cup that raises the ball up just enough. if you dont raise it up, your shifter will hit the transfer box. i used the UUC cup on my iX and it worked great. you will also find that BMW made the internal throw of the gears closer than a regular iS transmission, so your short throw shifter will feel really short. even a little notchy, but not too bad. i love mine.
