| Shifty Linkage - 320i (Black bumpers)
Basic Story.
Bought a 88' 320i with low mileage couple owners and excellent body and interior. Maintenance was approximately scheduled but no repairs ever conducted so off comes Gbox for the rear main seal and just about every other oil restraining device for a replacement. Nothing structural yet...yet.
Now that its all back in, the gear lever seems to be in an unusual place (although I cant exactly remember where it was originally). When its in 4th the stick is dead in the middle of the console/shroud or whatever and when its in 5th its in the far reaching to right hand corner (almost resting on the corner of the console). Usual wear hole on the front of the leather shroud..
Im probably beating myself up about nothing.
Also ive noticed on some of your sweet rides, some of the bumpers are half painted the body colour with the black part of the bumper just a strip in the middle. Mine are all black. Was this 2 tone bumper job OEM original?
