Rough Idle - BMW Forum

Hello, I have an 87 325e that was idling very rough but ran ok. After further inspection I found a rip in the air intake boot, bought one from autohausaz.com and fit ixed the problem.

^^^^ my boot is a little cracked....and I have a fairly smooth but kind of rough idle.....maybe I'll try replacing that....

Seriously, most problems related to idle on M20s and M10s can be at least partially solved with a simple valve adjustment.

id have to compleeeeeeeeeeeetely disagree with you here...most idle problems with M20s have to do with the idle valve...

Glad to hear the intake boot solved the problem, usually does when its leaking between the AFM and engine...
