RIP 84 E30 325e

Yeeup you heard it...another loss in the E30 community..

It was about 6:20am on my way home from work at intel in Folsom, CA...i work the 10pm-6am shift...I was driving home down grant line road as usual and then went to make a right on calvine...i was doing about 50 mph and began to brake for the turn..the driverside front tire blew out causing me to go straight while half way through the turn my car slammed into the embankment at about 40 mph launching me into a barb wire fence....and the rest as they say is history...the frame is bent suspension crushed...blah blah blah...this sucks...i dont think it has really hit me yet...shes dead...blah...we'll miss you my little kraut rocket...dont get me wrong she is staying around for when i one day start working on a tube chassis Auto X car but in the mean time she is going to be the performance part donner car for my new BMW looking for a 91 Bronzit 325iS..

god i miss my BMW this blows...grrr i am driving around a 1997 dodge stratus and its amazing how slow it feels and how crappy it drives...and this is 13 years newer and it has 170 hp...god i hate newer cars...really though..they have all these crappy things you dont use in them...like air bags? WTF? ghead all i hear is extra weight and get a roll cage....blah i love the simplicity feel of E30's..god i cant wait to get behind the wheel of one again..

I can't stand how bloated new cars are - you can't see out of half of them! I love eighties cars like the the third-generation Hondas and E30 BMWs - they're so low-fat and spirited, and you can see where you're going. That makes them so much more fun to drive.

hey man, i feel your pain, just recently i completely ruined my door and oil pan all in one day, it's not as bad but it definitely is painful. in fact, at the moment i'm trying to arrange a ride to work... ghead

when i had the car jacked up and i was attempting to get my lowering springs out...kinda hard when the suspension is crushed...i noticed something interesting...i was like whoa...i can see my crankshaft...niiiiice...the oild pan was COMPLETELY GONE along with several other things... whyy mee...

its been a month and a half and i have looked at 15 e30's now...every single model haha...im finally thinking im gonna gowith an 325i because they are almost equal in performance to the iS but are easier to find in better condition at a decent price...all nice iS's i have seen in decent condition run about $4,200 and they need work...boo hate living in CA....if anyone spots any good deals let me know i will even fly somewhere and drive it home haha...
