removing steering wheel 1990 325ic

Hello All!

I need to replace my turn signal lever and so I have to remove my steering wheel. The challenge is that my wheel has an airbag and I've never removed one before. Any tips?

Also, my replacement lever is from an 86 car. Looks right, but no computer control, which is ok by me. Will it work?

Thaaaaanks!!
