Went to the wreckers found some '88 e30 tail lights, brought them home to install on my '87 and of course they didn't fit. Now I need to sell them, here is my question: Will they fit on a '89 325c?
not if it's a convertible. Sept 87 was the facelift (switch to plastic bumper, intro of the Touring model) for all models except the M and the vert, the AFL ones won't fit the BFL e30. The vert had the facelift I think in 91
The Hemi, or hemispherical head was/is supposed to provide better combustion chamber "breathing". It's not really a big deal, and today's Chrysler and Dodge "Hemi's" are not quite hemi shaped.
that wasn't your question in the first place
and witey already said pretty much everything there's to say about it
the name hemi is derived from hemispheric combustion chamber. It proved to facilitate gas exchange because of the position of the valves (which are on opposite sites of the combustion chamber), and also it improved combustion since a hemisphere is the best compromise between volume and surface area.
so OK...say you are a mechanic and you go to work on a Hemi and then, after that, a non-Hemi....simple tune ups on both. What distinguishes the Hemi from the non-Hemi?
