| yeah got the same exact problem with my 87 325. it's not the relay because i have coninuity on the edges of the window. but since the car is so old the strips must be damaged. too many to fix. i took it to my mechanic who specifically works on bmw's. he said that it is not uncommon for the rear defrost to go bad on the older models. he told me that i need to replace the entire window. hope this helps.
