Unhappy Radio & Warning Light Problem

Hi

I just found this forum and have recently bougfht a 1989 325i. Iím hoping someone here can give me some advice on a problem Iím having with the stereo and anti-lock brake warning light

My daughter had a dead battery a couple of days ago and after first trying to boost the car (unsuccessful), charging the battery (which worked) and then replacing the battery we found the stereo (original Blaplumkt system with anti-theft) doesnít work and the anti-lock brake warning light has come on.

Normally when weíve had a dead battery before I just turn the radio on and punch in the code and weíre good to go. This time we donít even get that option as there appears to be no power going to the radio and the antenna is stuck half way up. I checked the fuses and even thing looks good and I even swapped out the fuse for the radio with a new one and nothing changed. Any suggestions on what to do next?

The other anomaly was the anti-lock brake warning light coming on after we hooked up the new battery. Any idea why this would happen?

Thanks
Curt

Did you accidentally cross the jumper cables?

That is a possibility as I wasn't there when they tried to boost it.
