Good question. I want to piggyback on his question.
Does putting a racing seat (i.e. Recaro) lower your position?
(in short, will my head be far enough away from the roof for me to wear a helmet comfortably?)
I'm 6'4".

racing seats are universal. there are plenty of custom brackets for the e30, some fit better than others. i made my own brackets and i use momo start seats. i also dropped the seating position about 4".
