Puzzling electrical phenomenon!

Alright, I know that this is something really stupid!

First of all YES I have check all the fuses!
The car is an 87 325 In great condition. (see Pic)
The symptoms are: No marker lights (bulbs are good, sockets clean)
No tach or fuel economy gauge. (new Batteries in SI board)
No right hand instrument light (I replaced the bulb yesterday)
No rear window defroster (lamp lights)
Must puzzing of all: the interior lights only work when you open a door,
and cannot be turned on with the switch??? Go Figure!

Any thoughts puzzle fans??

Found the instument light problem: broken wire trace. Other problems still there.
